COMPULSORY PIECE:SYMPHONY nº8 W «VALÈNCIA VERDA»

Work commissioned by Valencia City Council to celebrate Valencia’s status as European Green Capital in 2024. The premiere is scheduled to take place on 20 July 2025 at the Palau de la Música in Valencia, to which this composition is dedicated.

A work in a single movement, but clearly structured in six sections, which place us in various emblematic locations in the city, such as the Albufera Natural Park, the Turia Garden, La Marina and La Huerta, while we can identify motifs from the pasodoble Valencia by maestro Padilla, a pasodoble whose centenary of composition is being celebrated in 2025, and from the composition Vexations by the French composer Erik Satie, whose centenary of death is also being celebrated in 2025.
